Our Mission:
Bio
On December 24, 1981, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. God gave me a hunger for His word and I was consumed with the Bible. I attended church and Bible Study each week and in the spring, my wife Joyce and I started a youth group at church. After leading it for two years, another leader was selected and I became lay leader of our church and along with our Pastor started a ministry at the Juvenile Detention center, I began to make home and hospital visits, along with preaching when the Pastor was away. In the Summer of 1985, I accepted God's call to ministry and began attending Ashland Theological Seminary in August. Two years of study on campus and one year of study in a counseling program led to my graduation in 1988 with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling.
While in seminary, Joyce and I were blessed with two sons, Matthew and Jeremy. We accepted a call to Morrison, IL to pastor our first church. We had a great experience in IL, but were called back to Ravenna, OH to restart a BIC (Brethren in Christ Church) that was nearing closing. We pastored in Ravenna at Christ Chapel for ten years. After resigning from Christ Chapel in August 2000, we began attending Kent Church of the Nazarene. In December 2000, I was hired as Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship at the Kent Church of the Nazarene. I continued to meet monthly with Brethren in Christ Great Lakes Conference Bishop John Byers. In September of 2002, I was asked and accepted the call to become Interim Pastor at the Sippo Restart BIC Church in Dalton, OH.
In November 2002 Bishop John Byers of the Great Lakes Conference for the Brethren in Christ Church contacted Paul and Joyce Meduri about planting a church in Northern Ohio. I began researching and doing demographic study of the city of Streetsboro for the Great Lakes Conference BECP (Board for Evangelism and Church Planting) in December of 2002. I submitted my findings to the BECP in February 2003 then in April 2003 Joyce and I were called to plant a BIC church in Streetsboro, OH. After several preliminary and events we began holding Sunday services due to the requests of those attending the new church. Our Grand Opening celebration for King of Glory Church was held February 15, 2004. We are now nearing our 8th anniversary and are looking forward to many more years of ministry in Streetsboro.
